AHA Scholars Program

The AHA Scholars Program is designed to build the next generation of leaders in science, research, medicine, and public health. Through mentorship, academic enrichment, and real-world learning opportunities, we support students from all backgrounds—especially those from under-resourced communities—who are passionate about improving health outcomes in the communities they call home.
About Our Program
We believe that every community deserves to be represented in the future of health care. That’s why we invest in scholars, from undergraduate to doctoral level, who are not only committed to careers in stem and health sciences but also bring unique lived experiences and local leadership to their fields.
Our program provides:
- Mentorship from experienced health professionals and researchers
- Opportunities to explore biomedical and public health careers
- Training that connects science with community impact
- A supportive network that helps scholars thrive through every stage of their academic journey
When we empower students who reflect the communities we serve, we create a more innovative and compassionate health care system.
